United States – Fernando Alberto

Fernando Alberto established his brand, Fernando Alberto Atelier, in Los Angeles, but is considered one Honduras’ most prominent designers. He comes from a long line of designers, carrying on a family tradition of elegant fashion.

Colombia – Lina Cantillo

Lina Cantillo started designing clothes as a young girl and studied fashion in Bogota before honing her craft studying fashion design at the Instituto di Moda Burgo in Milan, Italy. Sophistication and elegance are the prime facets of Lina’s menswear designs. She believes that there is a universe of different men to design for and her wish is to imbue every piece she designs with a bit of soul that is carried and expressed by the man who wears it.

Lina’s clothes have been on the runways of Paris, Milan and the United States where she has enjoyed international recognition for her creations.

Chile – Karyn Coo

Karyn Coo is the designer behind the eponymous brand. Her fame and career quickly grew after winning the second season of Project Runaway Latin America in 2011. Soon after, she opened her first store in her native Chile and her brand is now showcased in several stores and online. Her clothes have been on runways around the world and regularly adorn Chilean singers, actors and models.

Karyn defines her style as timeless and classic, with touches of bohemian and rock and roll. She is inspired to create fashion that is not only timeless, but can be paired with other styles to create a look unique to its wearer.

United States – Candice Cuoco

Candice Cuoco’s journey into fashion started in Northern California. Candice went to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in San Francisco. After leaving FIDM, Candice experienced rapid success, showing at New York, London, Paris and Los Angeles Fashion Weeks, being a finalist on Project Runway, appearing in every major fashion magazine, and dressing numerous celebrities. It’s a remarkable turnaround for a woman who has had to fight for everything she has accomplished, every step of the way. But it’s that fight that, in the end, defines her.

Canada – Hayley Elsaesser

Hayley Elsaesser is a Canadian fashion designer who picked up her love of fashion while living in Sydney. She started with a simple sewing class that lead to Hayley graduating with honors from Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia, where she was selected to participate in the L’Oreal Graduate Showcase at Melbourne Fashion Week. After overwhelmingly positive feedback from the media and public alike, Hayley’s brand was born.

Since the beginning, Hayley’s influences have been drawn from popular culture and she uses themes and elements from music, film, literature and childhood nostalgia to turn her bright, artistic designs into wearable, body-positive silhouettes.

Guatemala – Eduardo Figueroa

Eduardo Figueroa is a fashion designer who graduated from the Seattle Art Institute. He returned to Guatemala where, over the last 10 years, he has built more than eight collections for his avid supporters. He features artisanal elements from his native country, weaving those textures and colors into his contemporary designs.

Eduardo often collaborates with international brands and fellow designers, while still creating unique, made-to-measure pieces for his clients. He has been asked to show at many fashion events, won multiple awards and has presented his collections to benefit the Margarita Tejada Foundation for children with Down Syndrome.

United States – Patricia Franklin

Patricia Franklin is from Annapolis, Maryland and attends Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University), where she is pursuing a degree in fashion design and business. She learned to sew when she was just eight and, soon after, immersed herself in the works and biographies of notable designers. While at Jefferson, she participated in an industry project for Excel Brand’s H for Halston line, was chosen to submit her work to the CFDA scholarship program, and had one of her formal dresses featured in Macy’s window display in Philadelphia’s Center City. Last summer, she had an internship with Abercrombie and Fitch and she is looking forward to a bright future pursuing in women’s wear and concept design.

Brazil – Michele Gevaerd

Michele Gevaerd is a stylist, entrepreneur, and the co-founder and creative director of Lua Luá, a sleep and loungewear brand that has been available in Brazil for more than 10 years. She is responsible for transforming the clothing segment and is passionately committed to keeping her line fashionable and trendy without sacrificing comfort or production quality.

Lua Luá is an industry leader and is one of the most admired brands in Brazil because of its unique concept and commitment to developing products that are exclusive, high quality and comfortable.

Peru – Ana María Guiulfo

Ana María Guiulfo is an artist guided by her heart and instincts, transforming her work into unconventionally feminine designs through casual silhouettes and extravagant floral motifs. Inspired by art, music, travel and culture, she creates pieces fusing those passions with an artisanal finish and designs painted by hand. Each collection – down to each piece of fabric – is designed entirely by her.

She has shown her work at shows and events such as Miami Fashion Week, Style Max Chicago, Prêt-à-Porter Paris, Pasarela Punta del Este, Perú Moda and every edition of Lima Fashion Week. She is involved with social development in her country, Perú, specifically with Aprendemos Juntos, which works to improve educational access for disadvantaged children.

Paraguay – Ilse Jara

Ilse Jara founded her brand, ILSE by ILSE JARA, in 2010 after completing her master’s degree in Design and Direction at the Instituto Marangoni in Milan. She focuses on creating a balance between technology, art and nature, something that translates into all her collections and has become her brand´s signature. Each of her collections represents a concept brought to life by a diverse range of techniques, textures and materials realized with technological resources, such as sublimation with Epson technology, laser cutting and 3D printing.

Mexico – Emilio Mata

Emilio Mata spent time training in Madrid, traveled to Paris and Rome to immerse himself in the works of fashion masters, and was assistant to Enrique Martinez, designer of the International Salon of Palacio de Hierro. He developed his signature design by blending Mexican embroidery techniques using yarn and stones and inlaying them onto different fabrics.

It’s these traditional methods, combined with his unique eye and the clean, structured cuts of his designs that make his pieces so popular. He opened his first workshop in Mexico City and in 1998, moved his fashion house to his hometown of Cancun.

United States – Alexandra Pizzigoni

Alexandra Pizzigoni grew up in South Jersey a fan of fashion. Her interests in trends and styling lead her to pursue a degree in fashion design at Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University). Over the course of four years, Alexandra developed a passion for fit and functionality of garment construction. Through her internships, she's broadened her fashion experience and explored other elements of design including footwear at The Children’s Place and bridal wear at Jenny Yoo Collection. Alexandra plans to become a womenswear designer focusing on dressing the modern woman.

Ecuador – Stephanie Ruiz

Stephanie Ruiz, a fashion designer from the Ecuadorian highlands city of Cuenca, was attracted to extravagant styles and vibrant colors at a young age. Her designs use contrast, volume and asymmetry to balance elegance with daring approaches in each of her unique pieces. Her goal is to emphasize the most prominent curves of a woman’s body, allowing her to feel elegant and beautiful.

United States – threeASFOUR

threeASFOUR is a trio of transnational artists based in New York City who use fashion as their primary medium. Founded in 2005 by Gabriel Asfour (from Lebanon), Angela Donhauser (from Russia) and Adi Gil (from Israel), the collective has built a legacy of fusing cutting-edge technology with traditional craftsmanship to create clothing at the intersection of fashion and art. Drawing their core aesthetic from the universal languages of sacred geometry, threeASFOUR is devoted to the creative exploration of themes of consciousness and cultural coexistence.

In 2015, threeASFOUR were the recipients of the Cooper-Hewitt/Smithsonian Museum's National Design Award. Their designs are in the permanent collections of London’s Victoria and Albert Museum, and the Met Costume Institute, the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, and the Museum at F.I.T. all in New York. They regularly collaborate with artists, musicians and worldwide brands.
